Taste of Hardeman County is back

For over 20 years the Hardeman County Literacy Council has provided residents with the opportunity to sample a variety of food from cooks all across the county in an effort to raise funds for the council. This year’s annual “Taste of Hardeman County” will provide food and a silent auction.
The Literacy Council provides educational and tutoring services for adults seeking to earn their HiSet (formerly called GED) or other educational services.
Russellville, AL resident (and former Hardeman County businessman) Sam Warf is expected to be in attendance to sign copies of his cookbook. Warf has donated some of his cookbooks for sale to raise funds for the Literacy Council. Warf is the host of  “Sam’s Kitchen”, which airs weekly on WMTY in northwest Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
“Taste of Hardeman County” will be held at the Bolivar Municipal Center on October 22 from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Tickets for the event can be purchased at various sponsor locations throughout the county, including the Bolivar Bulletin-Times.
