Renovated Ridgecrest Apartments dedicated

Staff members and residents of Ridgecrest Apartments, along with United States Department of Agriculture-Rural Development (USDA_RD) officials celebrated the completion of a $3.7 million dollar renovation of the complex with a ribbon cutting and open house on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the main office of the complex.
According to Sylvia Alexander,  property manager at Ridgecrest, work on the complex Began in May, and continued until November. Renovations included new roofs, gutters, windows, exterior doors, storm doors, and vinyl siding. In addition, each apartment received new floor covering, appliances, interior doors, cabinets, bathroom fixtures, as well as handicap accessibility features in units where needed. The parking lot was also resurfaced, there were new sidewalks and mail boxes as well as an expanded community room with new furnishings and exercise equipment. The $3.7 million dollar project was paid through tax credits.
