Message From The Mayor

This past week, our schools began a new way of combating and fighting back against harassment and bullying. Using the technology this new generation has grown used to having as part of their lives, they can now take advantage of the opportunity to fight back against the bullying and harassment that plagues our children today.
But it doesn’t end when we stop walking the halls of high schools. Feeling put down, harassed, demeaned, and belittled doesn’t end when we receive a diploma in our hand and the days of slamming locker doors and walking the high school hallways are over.
As adults we should learn from the example of our students and schools and take action in fighting back against bullying in our workplace and our neighborhoods.
