Grand Valley Lakes maintenance manager, Randy Mynatt, inspects work being performed by the contractor charged with replacement of the culvert on Grand Valley Drive. The project was necessary due to the shoulder of the road washing. It was completed well ahead of schedule.

GV gearing up for annual Board of Directors election

The Grand Valley Lakes regular monthly Board of Directors meeting was held on Friday, February 12. Board President, Myra Cox, reported replacement of the culvert on Grand Valley Drive had been completed. The repair was necessary because deterioration of the older culvert allowed the continual washing out of the road’s shoulder. “The contractor did a great job and finished way ahead of schedule too,” said Cox.
Another project underway at this time is filing of a claim with the Valley’s insurance carrier for damage to the roof of the Property Owners’ Lodge. It appears the roof has been patched with squares of tan plastic. Actually the reason for applying over 100 patches was to help the adjuster visualize the scope of damages caused by recent high winds. “Negotiations with the insurance company are underway but will probably take some time to complete,” said Cox.
