Grand Valley Lakes Board approves lodge renovations

The Grand Valley Board of Directors met on Friday, Jan. 8.
“There’s going to be a lot of activity in the coming days and months,” said Board President Myra Cox. The board approved some renovations to the Property Owner’s Lodge. The money was budgeted for this fiscal year.  After visits by several contractors, two bids were received. One of these was approved in the January meeting.  Specifications call for replacement of the front portico and installation of new front windows and entry doors. A remodel of the first floor restrooms was also a part of the bid.
The board discussed the fact that the lodge roof needs to be replaced. The I-beams supporting the back patio need replacing also. The board approved contacting contractors to provide bids for these improvements.
