Grand Junction’s December board meeting short and sweet
Grand Junction’s Board of Aldermen meeting ended 2015 with a short meeting held on Dec. 7. Aside from routine reports from the city’s police, fire, and water departments, Mayor Curtis Lane received only two motions concerning city business.
One was to move all city banking to The Bank of Fayette County. The other was to accept a bid to repair the roof on the new library location. Both motions carried unanimously.
There was some discussion concerning reworking the current loan on the old gin property to secure a lower interest rate and applying for some grants to restore the school property. These matters will be discussed and presented to the board for further action as needed information is gathered.
