County Recognizes WRAP Month

Each year during the month of April, state, community-based organizations, rape crisis centers, government agencies, businesses, campuses and individuals plan events and activities to highlight sexual violence as a public health, human rights and social justice issue and reinforce the need for prevention efforts in what is known as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Both Hardeman County and Bolivar signed into effect a Proclamation for Hardeman County on April 18, designating April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
WRAP is the only agency in West Tennessee providing services to both sexual and domestic violence survivors. Their efforts have been coordinated with those of local law enforcement agencies, attorneys, hospitals, social services agencies, state agencies, and court offices so they can work together to provide the best services possible to the clients they serve.
WRAP’s 24-hour hotline number is 1-800-273-8712.
