Christmas Partners now accepting applications

Christmas Partners is now accepting applications for holiday assistance at the Zion Temple Church in Bolivar.  The program, in its 15th year, is a partnership of the United Way of West Tennessee, the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, the Brighter Christmas Fund, and other nonprofits and faith/civic based organizations.  Applications will only be accepted in person from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m., and on the following dates: October 21-23.
Applications will not be accepted over the phone. To be considered for assistance, applicant must provide: photo identification, birth certificate, a Social Security card for each person in the household, Department of Human Services letter (must show amount in benefits that received) Section 8 certification letter and/or lease agreement, current rent/mortgage receipt and utility bill, and proof of income (this can include a check stub, child support, unemployment, VA, Social Security, and/or SSI).  Only children age 14 and under will be considered for assistance.
