The Bird Dog Foundation in Grand Junction held its annual volunteer appreciation banquet November 7. Beef stew, cornbread, and an assortment of other breads, crackers, and cheese were the main menu items. There were several choices of desserts also.
About 40 volunteers were on hand to enjoy the homemade food. “We couldn’t make it without your help,” said Tonya Brotherton, Executive Director.
Volunteers play an important role in the successful operation of the museum. From daily activities to special events, area residents have always been available to lend a helping hand.
