From the Beginning: The Bolivar Farmers Market

The Bolivar Farmers Market first started in 2008 when the pavilion was established and dedicated by then Mayor Bobby Sain and the Bolivar City Council, the Bolivar Market/Pavilion Board of Directors and many others. Over the years the market/pavilion has seen many vendors and shoppers, has hosted events and serves as the rain-out event location on stormy days.
Bill and Carol Deen have been with the farmers market from the early years when they started selling in 2009. Every week they line their stall with a large, colorful selection the season’s best fresh vegetables, fruits, jar canning and specialty items like mushrooms, buckeyes and more.
If you would like additional information or would like to participate, contact Gerald Sykes, Market Manager, 110 Lafayette Street, Bolivar, TN 38008 or call 731-609-2345.
The Bolivar Farmers Market is part of PickTnProducts and exists due to the efforts of the Bolivar Downtown Development Corporation.
