Weather perfect for patriotic festival

The third annual Children’s Patriotic Festival was held on Saturday, September 12, in the open space in front of the Hardeman County Courthouse and was a success, thanks in part to near perfect weather.
The event, which is sponsored by the City of Bolivar, started with a parade from the parking lot of the First United Methodist Church and traveled down Market Street to the festival site, and featured several Dizzy Dean Baseball and Dixie Youth softball teams as well as a fire truck and police car.
