Strange events occur during Pillars ghost hunt

The Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities (APTA) decided that because this year’s annual home tour was in October, they would open the Pillars on Friday night, October 23, and Saturday night, October 24, and conduct an actual ghost hunt, with EPIC (Exploration, Paranormal Incident Crew) from Hardeman County, and allowing tour ticket holders to participate in the hunt.
According to Don Houston, lead paranormal investigator for EPIC, both nights of the Pillars ghost hunt had several incidents of paranormal activity.
“We saw phenomena both nights,” Houston said, “But there was more activity on Saturday, possibly because there were fewer people, and often there is more activity on the second night of a multiple night hunt.”
Participants were given equipment to use during the hunt, including EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) recorders with headphones, night vision cameras, green dot flashlights, and EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors.
