Routine traffic stop proves to be life saver
Talk about being in the right place at the right time, Bolivar Police Department Patrol Woman Nelly Munoz was patrolling on Jackson Street near Third St., on Wednesday, Jan. 27 when she pulled over a vehicle for traveling 44 in a 30 mph zone, but as soon as she got to the car, she knew something was wrong.
Brenda Gibson, 54, of Bolivar was the driver of the car, and told Munoz that she was having chest pains and was trying to get to Bolivar General Hospital
“As soon as she stopped she told me she was having chest pains. I told her she did not need to be driving in her condition, and immediately called for an ambulance,” Munoz said.
Gibson, who had already suffered an earlier heart attack and recently had a pacemaker put in, says she did exactly what she knew she had to do.
