Minister’s wife shares ‘An Attribute A Day’

“I wanted to look at God’s intrinsic worth, his character and it started with the major attributes I grew up with as a child. God is holy, he is all powerful, he’s all knowing, he is all present,” Dr. Emma Catherine Pearson said regarding her book An Attribute A Day.
Pearson, the wife of pastor Dr. Roger Pearson of Hopewell MB Church in Grand Junction, said her goal for the book is to teach individuals how to praise God using his attributes.
“I want them to know they have 102 words that they can use to love on God, 24/7, 365 days a year. They can love him using words that describe his nature and character,” Pearson said. “Thereby, they will live a life dedicated to him and not get caught up in the stresses of life. My motto is ‘only what you do for Jesus Christ will last.’”
She said the book was written as a result of her journey to answer a question.
“To answer this simple question, ‘how to grow in my fellowship with the Lord.’ In order to do that I needed to know more about him,” Pearson said. “I wanted to know more about the Lord so my fellowship would be right on cue with him.”
