McTizic Sworn into Office

Julian McTizic began his term as Mayor of Bolivar as he was sworn into office Saturday, July 1 at the Bolivar Municipal Center.
Along with McTizic, newly elected council members Jonathan Joy, Page Walley, and Melvin Golden were sworn in along with returning member Suzanne Rhea by Hardeman County General Sessions Court Judge Boyette Denton. Following the ceremony, the council elected Page Walley as deputy mayor.
McTizic then changed the way standing committee reports are presented to the council and to un-appoint council members over departments of the city.
According to the directive, from this point forward, department heads will present the standing committee reports at monthly city council meetings.
