Lovelace honored at Taste of Hardeman County

The Hardeman County Literacy Council held its annual Taste of Hardeman County fundraiser on Thursday, October 22, at the Bolivar Civic Center.
Representatives from several restaurants in Bolivar offered samples of some of their best menu items, along with favorite recipes from members of the literacy council board, all for one price. There was also a silent auction.
A Taste of Hardeman County has been held by the literacy council for well over 20 years. The Literacy Council was started by Margie Lovelace nearly 30 years ago. This year’s Taste of Hardeman County was held in Lovelace’s memory. She passed away in January of this year. Board members presented a plaque to Lovelace’s family during the event. This is the biggest fundraiser the Literacy Council had all year.
