Gresham called ‘MIA’ for not voting on Insure Tennessee

In a special session of the Tennessee Senate Health Committee on Wednesday, February 4, the senate defeated Governor Bill Haslam’s Insure Tennessee plan. The plan, now having been voted down by the committee, cannot be brought back up before the 109th General Assembly. However, many news outlets and individuals have criticized State Senator Dolores Gresham for having been ‘MIA’ during the discussions, talks, and vote on the crucial proposal. Gresham, on the other hand, said she was never provided the opportunity to vote on the bill.
