Grand Junction acquires a new police vehicle

Mayor Curtis Lane announced the Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) recently transferred ownership of a Humvee to the Grand Junction Police Department. LESO is a government agency was created by Congress in 1997. Its purpose is to transfer surplus military equipment to law enforcement agencies. This equipment might otherwise be destroyed. Grand Junction’s newly acquired vehicle will be outfitted with a light bar and radio and will be used by the Department as a special needs vehicle.
