Domestic argument escalates into shooting

Hardeman County Deputy Cody Naylor responded to a domestic disturbance call where shots were fired on Thursday, Dec. 31, just past 9 p.m., at 1465 Forest Hill Rd. in Hardeman County.
According to an affidavit filed by Deputy Naylor, he responded to a call in reference to property damage. After an investigation, it was determined that the damage was the result of a domestic disturbance between Jared Watkins, 33, of Hickory Valley, and Heather Hanna, 34, of Hornsby. During the disturbance, Jason Newman arrived on the scene, and attempted to intervene.
