County Comes Together for Kids
Hardeman County citizens, businesses, service organizations and elected officials pitched in to provide Christmas gifts for the 34 children in state custody under the care of Centerstone, a Nashville-based company that serves the county.
“This has been an incredible day,” said Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain. “Hardeman County really stepped up to make a Merry Christmas for a lot of kids.”
Mayor Sain asked for donations of toys, gifts, and money in order to help the children living in foster homes in Hardeman County. Sain said the response was overwhelming and plans to do the same outreach next Christmas season.
The event on December 9 was broadcast as part of County Journal Live on WMOD Radio (96.7-FM).
