Congressman Marsha Blackburn named 2016 “Woman of the Year”

HERNDON, Va.- On March 4, the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute will honor Congressman Marsha Blackburn as the Institute’s 2016 Woman of the Year during a special award luncheon at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
During the noon luncheon, Congressman Blackburn will inspire young women attending CPAC by speaking on her fight for conservative policies, in addition to her experiences as a conservative woman leader.
Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute President, Michelle Easton, praised Congressman Blackburn by saying, “We couldn’t have picked a better woman to receive this award; Marsha is great role model for conservative women to look up to. During her time in office, she has courageously led the fight for the unborn, cutting spending, and reducing the size of government. We are proud to feature her in our 2016 ‘Great American Conservative Women’ calendar, at our conferences, as our 2007 Conservative Leadership Award recipient, and now, as our 2016 Woman of the Year.”
