
Caregivers need care too
Do you know any caregivers? It would be very surprising if you did not. According to the AARP there are 65 million individuals in the U.S. who are providing care for the chronically ill, the disabled, or aged family members. Sixty percent of these caregivers are women and they average spending approximately 20 hours week fulfilling their responsibilities.
To most caregivers, providing care for loved ones so they can remain at home is a responsibility of joy. While a sacrifice, this care is the very definition of love and respect. Unfortunately, over a long period, there are sometimes great consequences. The physical, financial, and emotional load builds. The job grows into a full time position and many times there are only part time hours available.
