Bolivar Police make arrests in Tobacco Store robbery

Bolivar police responded to an armed robbery call at Bolivar Tobacco, located at 1357 W. Market Street on Thursday, October 8 at approximately 9:10 p.m.
According to investigators, two suspects entered the store with weapons drawn, and took several items from the store, including an undetermined amount of cash from the register before fleeing on foot. After collecting evidence at the scene, including surveillance video, two persons of interest were identified.
On Friday, October 9, at approximately 5 p.m., investigators stopped a vehicle believed to be driven by one of the suspects. Two suspects were taken into custody, and the weapons used in the robbery were recovered, and the two suspects, Tisha Monique Wellington, and Montrella Decarlos Simpson, both from Bolivar, were charged with aggravated robbery.
Both suspects are being held on a $200,000 bond.
