11th Annual Hunters for Hungry Golf Tournament

On Saturday September 19th, the 11th annual Hunters for the Hungry Golf Tournament took place at the Hardeman County Golf and Country Club in Bolivar, Tenn and is organized by The Methodist Men from the United Methodist Church of Bolivar.  There were 11 three to four person teams to enter and participate in this year’s tournament. The money raised during the tournament will be used to feed the citizens of Hardeman County that are in need by paying for the processing of deer that are killed by hunters and then donated to be processed. Once the deer meat has been processed, it is then given to the local Loaves and Fishes Food Bank to be distributed to residents in need. This event goes to provide approximately 12,000 meals for families within Hardeman County and surrounding areas. Prizes were awarded to the winners of this year’s event in multiple categories. There were first, second and third place winners based on overall scores and there were three categories for longest drive which included men, women and senior.
