Joy signs to become a Ranger

“Sometimes I look at her and I say ‘is that the little girl I saw outside playing dirt ball’,” Thella Joy, mother of Averyale Joy, said.
A love and passion for basketball birthed in her from when she was old enough to hold a ball, Averyale Joy grew up playing basketball outside with her two brothers and her father. The love of the game, dedication, hard work, commitment, and being willing to learn has taken her to a higher level…a level her coach said she always wanted to achieve.
“She always wanted to go to college and play ball,” Middleton Lady Tigers coach James Burkley said. “Ever since she came to the high school level she was always thirsty to be better.”
