The MHS Marching Band performed the National Anthem at Middleton’s season opener on Friday night and are asking for the community’s help in raising funds to replace the band’s uniforms and music that had been thrown away over the summer.

Band raising money to replace discarded uniforms

The Middleton High School Marching Band returned to school from summer break to discover an unwelcomed surprise…all the band’s uniforms and music had been thrown away.
After finding uniforms from another school the band could purchase at a lower price than new uniforms, the band turned to the community for help and the community turned out in a huge way over the weekend. A GoFundMe account was set up on Friday to raise $2,500 for uniforms and by Monday morning, the band was only $200 short of meeting that goal and the page had been shared over 300 times. All donations from the GoFundMe account will be made to the school in honor of former band director Danny Moss, who recently passed away. The GoFundMe account is named ‘Middleton High School Band Uniforms’.
