Letterman says ‘goodbye’ to CBS and his audience

It has been considered one of TV’s greatest losses in the last decade and rightly so. David Letterman announced in 2014 he was retiring from CBS in 2015 and his last show was everything viewers expected.
Letterman had Bill Murray for his final regularly scheduled guest on May 19, his last show, and combined throwback clips, favorite memories, and some previous guests to conduct the Top 10 list.
The pioneer of late comedy, as referred to by Rom Simon, curator at the Paley Center for Media, spent 33 years on the late night screen breaking all the rules and having some of the most talked about and popular guests.
