The New Beginnings House of Praise Church praise band from Bolivar was one of the featured performers at Generation 1000, a festival held every summer in the Selmer City Park. The event, hosted by Life Wind Church in Selmer, is free and features entertainment, food, and fellowship. It is a way for area churches to give something back to the community. This is the second year New Beginnings has participated in Generation 1000, but only the first year the praise band has performed.
