36 Years Of Hardeman County Hee Haw Chapter 34 2 of 2

Hee Haw's 2013 theme was "Bringing Back The Good Old Days." This, as with every show, is dedicated to Hardeman Countians battling cancer. Danny Cheshier of Danny's Barber Shop in Bolivar, has sold soda and popcorn to the audience of Hee Haw every show since 1980, with all proceeds going to The American Cancer Society.
Olivia Johnson told the audience it was her privilege to introduce Mallory Lowery to sing. Mallory sang the song "So Small" (by Carrie Underwood). She was wearing a stunning red-satin full-length evening gown. The bejeweled V-neck bodice sparkled as she sang so beautifully.
Katie Rosson and Loulu (Marlene Cabanaw) walked on stage, "Loulu didn't I see you coming out of the fitness center the other day?" "You shore did!" "Awe Loulu, you are looking good girl!" "Katie, don't give me that stuff, you know your overweight when the health club asks you to leave through the back door!"
Peyton Rhea and Darby Weems come on stage, "Darby your sister talks all the time! Does she talk to herself when she's alone?" "I don't know, I've never been with her when she's alone."
Doc (Gawaine Carroll) asks Nurse Goodbody (Julie Strope) to bring in the next patient who is Stringbean (Ray Grantham). Ray walks across the stage in his vertically striped L/S shirt that goes to his knees. Ray is a tall man, well over 6 ft. and this emphasizes his tall, thin frame. He has always been the perfect person to play Stringbean, he says "Hey Doc, me and my wife are fixing to go on a cruise and I'm afraid I'll get seasick. Can you help me?" "Sure String, just eat 2 pounds of stewed tomatoes before you leave the dock." "Will that keep me from getting sick Doc?" "NO, but it'll look real pretty in the water."
Greg Vaughan sings "Love You For A Long Time" (by High Valley). Greg's the son of Bertha & Joseph Vaughan and has been singing off and on HEE HAW's since 1982.
Miss Scarlett (Tracy Byrum) walked on stage with her beautiful Olive Green, taffeta antebellum dress (she designed herself), with hat to match.  She fanned herself with a beautiful antique lace fan, borrowed from Nancy Weems, for the scenes. Miss Scarlett "Criticism is one of the few things people would rather give than receive."
