The “In the Raw” Art Mural is a project by suicide survivors, ranging in ages from 10 to 78 years old, through therapeutic art healing workshops with Your Heart on Art and funded through a grant from the Team Mica Fund. The three panels will travel throughout the state beginning in August. The mural will be on display at Pathways (238 Summar Drive Jackson 38301) August 2 through August 22. It will travel to other areas of the state throughout the month of September in honor of Suicide Awareness Month. The panels, each measuring six feet long by two feet wide, are attached to wood dowels hung with raw twine and aligned with personal messages from project participants.
