Bolivar After Work is every Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Biscuitry in Bolivar.
Christmas Open House at the National Bird Dog Museum on November 7 from 1 to 7 p.m. with door prizes, appetizers and good times.
The Mayor’s Charity Ball will be held this Saturday, November 9 at the Hope Street Building in Bolivar beginning at 6 p.m. All proceeds will benefit local participating non-profit organizations. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by calling 212-9247. The evening’s entertainment will be by Courtney Little.
Bolivar Central High School and the Veteran Appreciation & Awareness Committee invites all Veterans of Hardeman and surrounding counties to be honored on November 7 in the gymnasium from 9 to 10 a.m.
Another Veteran Day Program will be held at the Tennessee National Guard Amory in Bolivar on November 8 at 9:30 a.m.
The City of Bolivar will have a Veterans Day Program Friday November 8 at noon at the Veterans Memorial at West Park at 75 Athletic Lane near the baseball fields in Bolivar.
The American Legion Post 198 in Middleton will have a Veteran Day Honor Program on 11/11 at 11 at the Veteran Wall.
Book Signing with Amy Pilkington on Sunday, November 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The LATTA Theatre in Selmer. Copies of three of her books will be available for purchase at this event: The Lesser of Two Evils, Casket Girls, and Takaani. In addition to signing books, she will offer advice to aspiring authors.
Gospel Haven Mennonite Church’s Bi-annual Church and Community Thanksgiving Benefit will be November 15 from 4-8 p.m. at 2130 Highway 64 in Whiteville. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner with pie and homemade ice cream. Donations will be accepted.
Middleton Independent Wrestling will host a night of wrestling featuring Jerry “The King” Lawler, Middleton High School Football Coach Craig Harris and more November 15. The Middleton Community Advisory Board is sponsoring it. General admission tickets are $10. Ringside seats are $12. Contact the office to reserve your ringside seats. The Hardeman County Arts Council will present Hardeman’s Got Talent finals at the Arts Center in Bolivar Friday, November 15 at 7 p.m. Tickets are only $5 at the door on November 15.
The TN Department of Health will be offering free flu shots at a drive-thru clinic at the Bolivar Fire Department on Tuesday, November 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Carl Perkins Festival of Trees to benefit the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Hardeman County will begin on December 2 and go through December 15 at 117 North Main St. in Bolivar. If you are interested in entering a tree or wreath call 659-2373.
