BEA Community News for the Week of November 17, 2022

There will be a community meeting with Ford Motor Company on November 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Luez Theatre in Bolivar. Marianne Dunavant from Blue Oval will attend, answering questions about Blue Oval.

Christmas at the Crossroads November 19th from 9 am - 4 pm at the Middleton Community Center (Hwy 125 in Middleton) - Vendors, Food, Family Portraits, cornhole tournament, and more!

Grand Junction Elementary School will have a talent contest November 21 at 5:00 p.m.

The Luez Theatre will present a Motown Christmas December 1 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale through Eventbrite.com.

The Hope Holiday Mart in Bolivar at 208 Hope Street will be December 2 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and December 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information email hopeholidaymart@gmail.com.

The City of Bolivar will hold their annual Christmas Parade December 3 at 6 p.m.

Middleton High School will serve Pancakes with Santa, December 3 from 7:30-10:30 a.m. A picture with Santa and Breakfast is $15 and adding an ornament and cookie decorating will be $25. It is sponsored by the Middleton High School Beta Club.

Christmas at the Lafayette Gin in Grand Junction will be December 3 from 3:00-6:00 p.m.

The Hardeman County Arts Council (HCAC) will run Who Stole Santa’s Pants? Friday through Sunday, December 2 - 4, 2022. Santa has lost his pants and cannot ride in the Christmas Parade unless he finds them. Santa is going to need help from the elves and your favorite Christmas characters to join in the hunt to find his pants. This is an original production written by local playwright Monita Carlin.

Middleton’s Christmas Parade will be December 10. Entry forms must be completed and submitted by December 8. Call Middleton City Hall at 731-376-0276.

The Bolivar-Hardeman County Library would like to let the community know they can turn their family genealogy information in at the Library.  The deadline is November 20, 2022.

Loaves and Fishes Food Bank needs all non-perishable food items. Call 609-2397 to drop off your donations. Canned fruit and protein items are most needed.

The Hardeman County Republican Party will meet the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at 100 South Main Street in Bolivar.

Bolivar Masonic Lodge #608 meets the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Grand Junction Community Walk every second Saturday of the month at the city park, if it rains it will be at the Old Cotton Gin.

The Warrior Center in Bolivar on North Water Street needs donations of men’s hygiene products like bar soap, body wash, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes; Men’s clothing like shirts, pants, shoes, socks, and underwear; cleaning supplies like dish soap, multipurpose cleaners, bleach, laundry soap, fabric softener, window cleaner, air fresheners, Lysol disinfectant, Comet, Ajax, paper towels, and Pinesol; Vehicles in good running condition, preferably  multi-purpose vans (a receipt will be provided with tax id for donation purposes) notebook paper, spiral notebooks, ink pens, Bibles, computers, tools, and other household items.
