BEA Community Calendar for the Week of February 6, 2023

The Lego Club will meet at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library on Thursday, February 6 at 3:30 p.m.

The Anime Club will meet at the Middleton Community Library on Friday, February 7 at 4:00 p.m.  This month’s Manga pick is Bungo Stay Dogs by Kafka Asagiri; copies are available at the library.

NWTF banquet Hatchie Long Beards February 8th at Hardeman AgriBusiness Center. Doors open 6pm.  Meal to be served. Tickets available prior or at the door. Several sponsor package options.

The Middleton Community Library will host Chair Yoga Classes on February 7 and 14 at 11:00 a.m.  Please call the library at 731-376-0680 to reserve your spot.

The Hardeman County Commission for Black History will host their annual banquet on Saturday, February 8, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hardeman County Board of Education Hope Building, located at 208 Hope Street in Bolivar.  For ticket information please call 731-609-0952 or 731-609-8756.

The Brown Bag Book Club meets at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library on Monday, February 10 at noon.

A “Rest is Best” Class hosted by U.T. Extension will be held at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library on Wednesday, February 13 at 1:00 p.m.

The STEM Club will meet at the Middleton Community Library on Thursday, February 13, at 4:00 p.m.

The Bolivar Hardeman County Library will host Bingo on Friday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m.

The Middleton Community Library Adult Book Club will meet at the library on Friday, February 14, at 1:00 p.m.  This month’s book is The Story of Arthur Truluv by Elizabeth Berg.

The Hardeman County Commission for Black History will host their annual musical at Campbell Chapel Baptist Church located at 17545 Highway 125 South in Bolivar on Sunday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m.  Everyone is invited to attend.

Tickets for this year’s Hee Haw will go on sale on February 17.  Tickets will be available then at the Hardeman County Arts Council, open 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., or online at www.hcactn.org.  This year’s Hee Haw dates are March 6, 7,8, 13, 14, and 15.

The Storytots preschool story time will meet on Thursday, February 20 at 4:00 p.m. at the Middleton Community Library.

Family Board Game Night will be held on Friday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m. at the Middleton Community Library.

Craft Time for adults will be held at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library on Monday, February 24 at 10:30 a.m.

The Hardeman County Commission for Black History will host a county-wide worship service on Sunday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Hill Baptist Church located at 5360 Highway 179 in Whiteville.  Everyone is invited to attend this special service.

A “Critical Conversations” Class hosted by U.T. Extension will be at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library on Wednesday, February 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Baby/Toddler Story Time will be held at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library on Friday, February 28, at 10:30 a.m.

The Carl Perkins Exchange Club for the Prevention of Child Abuse is in need of donations, monetary or in the form of school supplies, hygiene items, or canned goods. Contact Monica Goodman at 731-659-2373.

The Grand Junction Loss Support Group meets the 4th Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm at Grand Junction United Methodist Church. For more information contact Pastor Cyndi 731-415-1051.

Middleton Art League meets the 4th Monday of each month for a potluck meal and fellowship along with a short program related to many artistic and creative subjects. Painters, photographers, quilt makers, scrapbookers, woodworkers, writers, drawers and various crafters - all are welcome! Meetings are free to attend but there is a membership fee of $20/year that allows for voting rights, various discounts and some free stuff.

Loaves and Fishes Food Bank needs all non-perishable food items. Call 731-609-2397 to drop off your donations. Canned fruit and protein items are most needed.
