Middleton Falls in Opening Game

The Middleton Tigers Football team were part of a see-saw battle at Rossville Christian on August 19, but couldn’t keep up the pace and fell 50-27.
The Tigers fell behind early as Rossville scored on their first play from scrimmage but managed to grab their first lead as quarterback Gage Davis threw to Montrez Jones for a score that made it 19-16 Tigers.
After Rossville scored to make it 22-19 in their favor, Aaron Burnett ran for a score and Middleton led 27-22, but failed to score again as Rossville scored four times to make the final 50-27.
Burnett was named the offensive player of the game, while Montrez Jones was named on the defensive side.
