Bolivar 8U and 10U All-stars struggle in world series

The Bolivar 8U All-stars and 10U All-stars both were eliminated from the 2015 Dizzy Dean World Series, which is being held this week in Southaven, Miss.
8U All-stars
The 8U All-stars did fairly well in their round robin games, winning two of three games. In their first game, on Thursday, July 23, Bolivar defeated the Kennesaw, Ga. Express 15-3, before losing to the Tuscaloosa, Ala. Black Sox 8-6 in their second game of the day. Bolivar finished round robin play on Friday, July 24, with  a 10-2 win over the Southaven, Miss. All-stars. The win put Bolivar into the championship bracket, which began play on Saturday, July 25, where they ran into some trouble, losing both games for an early exit from the tournament.
In their first game, Bolivar lost to the Paulding Co. Royals of Hiram, Ga. 14-2. They fared much better in their second game, but still fell to the Madison, Ala. Tribe, 7-5 to end their World Series with a 2-3 record.
“I am very proud of our kids, and hope they have learned from their experience, and that it will help them with their future baseball careers,” head coach Justin McMahan said. “I also want to thank all of my players and their parents for being so supportive and helping to make this a great experience.”
10U All-stars
With only 16 teams entered in the tournament, the Bolivar 10U All-Stars went straight  to championship bracket play on Saturday, July 25. In their first game, Bolivar faced the Caledonia, Miss. All-Stars. Bolivar took a two run lead early in the game when Cuaron Price hit a two RBI home run for the first score of the game, but unfortunately, Bolivar was not able to muster up much offense after that, losing to Caledonia 15-4.
