12 Days of Christmas (What)?

Nope, not December but upcoming April. When the hen turkeys lay their 10-12 eggs in her clutch, she’ll start “sitting” on the nest. She won’t have anything else to do with gobblers where her nest is busted up. All of a sudden,  a lot of hens are setting. Now the fun begins! Gobblers will go gorilla crazy looking for hens—the gobbling is outrageous. This is typically around the end of phase two through phase three. The foliage is thick and old Gabriel is very subject to let his guard down. He wakes up one morning and instead of five or six hens in his bedroom, nothing— he gobbles, not only because he is now alone, but his urgency to breed intensifies big time.
