William G. Biggers

William G. Biggers, II, 69 departed this world for his heavenly journey home on November 12, 2015.  
A Memorial Service will be held at Shackelford’s Chapel on Saturday November 21, 2015 at 11 a.m.
He was born December 17, 1945 in Winona, MS to Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Biggers.
He attended the University of Southern Mississippi, University of Mississippi and completed his degree in Hospital Business Administration through Health Care Sciences.
 He entered the United States Air Force on January 11, 1968.  During his time in service, he trained as a medic and cross-trained into hospital administration. However, his greatest achievement was becoming a member of the United States Air Force Pararescue Team.  He lived by the team’s motto “that others may live”.  During his time in the service, he proudly served two tours in Vietnam.  He was stationed in Germany as well as other state-side locations.  He was a recipient of three Purple Hearts.  He was assigned to the Department of Defense the last four years of his service.  He retired from the service on August 1, 1988 as a Master Sargent. After his retirement he worked for the Madison County Sheriff’s Department holding the position as Warden of the penal farm in Jackson.
