Local residents confront TDOT

By Stephanie Bodiford Tense conversations filled the City of Bolivar Municipal Center on August 28 when the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) hosted a meeting to seek feedback on future spending considerations. “TDOT is kicking off the development of Tennessee’s 25 year long range transportation plan and we are seeking your input on transportation needs for the state,” said Aury Kangelos, TDOT Community Transportation Planner for the greater Memphis area. The interactive forum, designed to inform and survey residents and determine priority for future TDOT project spending and labor allocation, was derailed when residents demanded answers on the current status of the TN Highway 64 bypass previously planned for the Bolivar area. To view more please log in or subscribe to the digital edition. http://www.etypeservices.com/Bolivar%20Bulletin-TimesID502/
