Kilgore to hire 50 plus employees in cooperation with the county

Kilgore Flares, Toone’s largest employer, will be hiring an additional 50 or more employees. However, the hiring is unique because the hiring of employees is being done in conjunction with the Hardeman County Mayor’s Office.

“I’ve been working closely with Kilgore trying to do everything we can to make sure Kilgore is happy here and they have the best pick of employees,” said Hardeman County Mayor Jimmy Sain. “They advised me last week that they have 50 plus job openings and gave me applications and the opportunity to send possible employees to them.”

Sain said applications can be obtained at the county mayor’s office for these positions, which have a starting pay rate of 12 to 14 dollars per hour and come with a complete benefits package. The positions are for Assembler I and Material Handler I.

“The county is very proud to have Kilgore as one of its industries and very proud to have them expanding their operations,” said Sain.

Sain said he will continue to work with industries such as Kilgore to ensure they receive quality employees and are provided everything they need to have a successful operation in Hardeman County. In addition, Sain said he is continually working to bring new industry and businesses to the county.
