Silerton Fire Department holds fundraiser

Members of the Silerton community came together on Saturday, March 28, for a buffet supper fundraiser to help with operating expenses for the all volunteer fire department.
According to John Jordan, President of the Silerton Fire Department Corporation, as well as the fire chief, this was one of several suppers held over the course of the year, along with other fund raisers, that are the sole source of funding for the department.
They hope to have another supper in June, and are planning to sell Boston butts over the fourth of July.
