Grand Valley Lakes readies for annual meeting and election

Casting proxy votes at the upcoming election of new board members filled a part of the agenda at Grand Valley Lakes’ regular April meeting. After discussion, it was agreed proxies not naming a specific representative would not be voted by the board. The reason for this decision was to eliminate any appearance the board improperly voted these ballots for favored candidates.
The Annual Board Meeting and election is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. in the Property Owners Association building. There are nine directors, each serving three year terms. The terms of office are set so that three members rotate off each year. Myra Cox, Curtis Jones, Patrick Conway, Ronald Scott, and William Stone are the candidates for the three seats which are expiring this year.
