Giving Back to Seniors

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 a.m. the Hardeman County Senior Center hosts Bingo for any elder that’s able to attend. Snacks, drinks, fellowship, and an occasional guest are just a few of the perks.
Once a month, Erica Parker, Admissions and Marketing Director at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center provides free sugar and blood pressure checks for attendees. She gets to know their health history by asking them simple questions and keeping them talking all while going about her work.
Mrs. Parker writes all their vitals on a card that they can keep on them in their wallet at-all-times to show at their doctor appointments, in case of an emergency, and to track from month to month to see the fluctuation in their numbers to see if a change in medication is needed. Going above her call of duty, she gives citizens a number where she can be reached at any time if needed. For more information on the Hardeman County Senior Center, please call 731-658-2887.
