CCA Hardeman County holds re-entry fair

CCA Hardeman County prison in Whiteville, TN held the first annual Re-entry Resource fair on Thursday, Feb. 4, in an effort to help inmates who are within two years of being released prepare for re-entry into society.
According to Charlotte Burns, Assistant Warden at the CCA Hardeman County Correctional Facility, this is the first time an event like this was held at the prison, and was very successful.
“This was arranged to help inmates prepare for a life outside of prison,” said Burns. “There were companies here to help those preparing to get out of prison within the next two years with paperwork and information needed to get through life."
There were a total of 16 companies and agencies represented in the event, including halfway houses schools, employment specialists, and religion ministries were on hand to talk to and help out inmates.
