What's Happening

SEPTEMBER 26 
STORY HOUR 3:30 p.m. at the Middleton Library. They will read stories, make crafts and each child will receive a treat. All ages are invited. Parents, please attend along with your children.

SEPTEMBER 27
CLEAN-UP DAY 8 a.m. – noon at Lake Placid at Chickasaw State Park’s main site. The clean-up will involve using the park’s fishing boats as well as hiking around the lake shore to restore the lake to its natural beauty and to make a cleaner, better habitat for the lake’s ecosystem. Please wear appropriate attire for the work and the weather.

HEART WALK Festivities begin at 9 a.m., in downtown court square in Jackson.  The walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. beginning and ending at City Hall.

BOOK SIGNING Bill Miller, author of “Seeds of Magnolia,” a historical book about Magnolia Manor, will be at the Lee Ola Roberts Library in Whiteville from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

OCTOBER 4
GJ RURITAN CLUB  FISH FRY  3-6 p.m. at Grand Junction City Park.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or from any Ruritan member or at the Grand Junction City Hall and the Wooden Spoon in Grand Junction.  The band 10-O-C will be playing and there will be booths. WIGGINS FAMILY REUNION 1 p.m. at Forrest Hill Church, Hwy. 64 E. at 20 mile marker.

FITNESS FUN DAY 8-11 a.m. at Bolivar City Park. Family 5K run/walk, booths, volleyball, exercise classes, bike giveaway, etc. Registration 8 a.m. Run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m.
