This beauty is Polar (6647), a gorgeous white shepherd, approximately nine to 12 months old. This female has one blue eye and one brown eye and weighs about 45 pounds. This girl (and her possible sister, Fancy) wandered up to someone’s home. She is very shy and needs lots of attention. Once she gains your trust, she is fine. She needs lots of love, understanding and a new home and family to call her own. All dogs are located at the Hardeman County Animal Shelter (a.k.a. dog pound) at the landfill on Walton Road in Bolivar. All dogs are owner-surrendered, strays or breeder throw-aways. This is a kill shelter. Our mission is to save one dog at a time. Please share any or all photos. If interested in adoption or rescue of our dogs, please contact one of our Volunteers for information: Charla Cooper, (731) 234-4421; Elizabeth Hensley, (731) 609-2059; Jennifer Smallwood, (731) 609-0408; Whitney Dempsey, (731) 613-5450; or Pat Plunk, 731-658-6912 or (731) 658-1385. You can follow us on petfinders at Hardeman County Animal Control Shelter and on Facebook at Hardeman Adoptable Animals. Volunteers are needed and no amount of volunteer time is too little. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please help if you can with donations of supplies or money.
