Many of us are turning our focus back on the days of our grandparents and all the lost skills of the new generation. Come join participants from all across West Tennessee for Heritage Skills Day, where you can learn anything from glass etching techniques to string quilting.

Heritage Skills Day will be held September 13, 2012 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the West Tennessee Regional Education Center. Some of the classes being offered include split seat weaving, painting on glass, mesh wreath design and cake decorating. There is something for everyone with over 12 classes to choose. There are half day and full day sessions available.

The deadline to register for Heritage Skills Day is September 4, 2012. Contact your local UT Extension office for a complete list of classes or to request a brochure. There will be a minimal cost for each class.
